X-Ray

An X-ray, or X-radiation, is a penetrating form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation. Most X-rays have a wavelength ranging from 10 picometers to 10 nanometers, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz (30×1015Hz to 30×1018 Hz) and energies in the range 124 eV to 124 keV. X-ray wavelengths are shorter than those of UV rays and typically longer than those of gamma rays. In many languages, X-radiation is referred to as Röntgen radiation, after the German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, who discovered it on November 8, 1895.[1] He named it X-radiation to signify an unknown type of radiation.[2] Spellings of X-ray(s) in English include the variants x-ray(s), xray(s), and X ray(s).

Cardiology

Cardiology (from Greek καρδίᾱ kardiā, "heart" and -λογία -logia, "study") is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists, a specialty of internal medicine. Pediatric cardiologists are pediatricians who specialize in cardiology. Physicians who specialize in cardiac surgery are called cardiothoracic surgeons or cardiac surgeons, a specialty of general surgery.

Dermatology

Dermatology is a branch of medical science that deals with the diseases of skin, hair and nails. The field includes diagnosis and treatment of various skin disorders like infectious diseases, allergic disorders, urticaria, psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, acne, pigmentary disorders (melasma, facial pigmentation, vitiligo) photodermatoses, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, blistering disorders, genetic disorders and naevi (birth marks). The infectious diseases include various viral, fungal, bacterial, mycobacterial and parasitic infections like scabies, tinea, pityriasis versicolor, impetigo, warts, herpes etc which are very common. Also disorders of hair and scalp like fungal and bacterial infections of scalp, hair fall, dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, female pattern hair loss and excessive hair growth on face and body are diagnosed and accordingly managed. Disorders of nails including bacterial, fungal and viral infections of nails are treated. The branch also specialises in treatment of sexually transmitted infections and leprosy.
