The School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSSH) at MIER College organised a valuable visit to Pulse Hospital, Jammu, offering three-year undergraduate honours students from Semester V a first-hand experience in various psychiatric practices. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The focal point of the visit was the interaction between B.A. Honours Psychology students and Dr. Rajinder Kumar, a distinguished figure in psychiatry with a rich background in clinical practice and academic research. Dr. Kumar, a fervent advocate for mental health awareness and quality psychiatric care, engaged students in insightful discussions, particularly emphasizing the mental status examination and the process of information collection from clients.
